The Bomber Buffing party is great fun for all ages! Bring your elbow grease to help get our bomber beauties ready for their 2018 flying debut! Behind the Scenes Day at Yankee Air Museum!

Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at a museum? Yankee Air Museum wants to fill you in! 100 lucky people will get the opportunity of a lifetime, and it’s FREE! This event includes a tour of the museum, workshops, and an inside look into the Textile and Equipment Collections Rooms on Saturday, May 19th, 2018. Great Lakes Woodworking Festival

GLWF is bringing together the best woodworkers from the Great Lakes region, ranging from several different woodworking disciplines. We are unified by our love for woodworking, getting our hands dirty, and sharing our talent and skill with the public. This event will showcase 35+ woodworking artist who are selling their handmade goods. This event will also have free classes, demonstrations, and prizes. It is 100% free to the public. We have several different Great Lakes Region artisans selling their goods and giving free demonstrations and workshops throughout the day. UMMA Pop Up: Neal Anderson | Jon Hammonds Duo

Neal Anderson is a trumpeter, improviser, and composer based in Detroit. His compositions pay melodic homage to Lee Morgan and Roy Hargrove while establishing a wistful, sometimes playful, but always thoughtfully distinctive voice of his own. Jon Hammonds is a bass player based in Ann Arbor. Active in jazz and improvised music, Jonathan is also currently a member of the Ann Arbor Symphony and the National Arab Orchestra.

UMMA Pop Up: Soulful RnB, Pop and Acoustic Rap with Nadim Azzam and Charlie Reischl

Ann Arbor-based acoustic songwriter and rapper, fusing hip-hop with modern indie folk sounds, Nadim Azzam can spit a flow amidst charming soulful vocals. Azzam works with various local musicians, has toured nationally, and is looking forward to playing many Michigan music festivals this summer. Charlie Reischl, improvisational music performer, will join Nadim on bowed string bass.
