*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 07/28/2018
We offer safety training classes to ensure everyone can enjoy their time in the shop. We teach the WCA skill standards curriculum - the only nationally recognized set of woodworking standards. Participants will learn proper technique on the table saw, jointer, planer, band saw, miter saw, radial arm saw, router table, nail guns, drill press and more. Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate by mail and take home a tool box made during class. Ages 12 and up, registration required.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Our certification course is an excellent way to ensure that craftsmen and craftswomen are using tools to the latest safety standards set by industry professionals. Education and prevention are an excellent investment. Using woodworking machines without proper training can be dangerous. Safety glasses and hearing protection will be provided.

If you have any questions about this class, please contact Luke at (517) 902-8383.
