Masterfully assembled from a wealth of archival footage, the Oscar® nominated King: A Filmed Record... Montgomery To Memphis follows Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. from 1955 to 1968, in his rise from regional activist to world-renowned leader of the Civil Rights movement. Rare footage of Dr. King's speeches, protests, and arrests are interspersed with commentary from high-profile supporters of the cause.

Restored to its original full-length by the Library of Congress, this complete, uncut version of King is a monumental experience – a cinematic national treasure that provides both an appreciation of the personal challenges he endured as well as a reminder of the cultural and social legacy he left for us to act upon and protect. Admission to this annual screening is free of charge. (185 minutes with intermission)

“Perhaps the most important documentary ever made.” -The Philadelphia Bulletin
