Livestreaming as News Reporting

*The event has already taken place on this date: Wed, 01/20/2021
As protests movements shook the country last summer, many people turned to Facebook livestreams for up-to-the-minute information about what was happening in the streets. This technology has the power to turn average citizens into reporters. But with this power comes responsibility.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately.

In this online, interactive workshop, we’ll discuss best practices for live-streaming newsworthy events, as well as the ethics of live-streaming. Facilitated by Reclaiming the Narrative’s Darien Lamen.
