Saturday Night Space Science - Cranbrook Institute of Science

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 04/30/2022
Families of all ages and Scout groups are invited to join us for an interactive, out-of-this-world experience at Cranbrook Institute of Science - after-hours! On select Saturday nights, we’ll open the museum to explore planets, stars, space travel, and so much more. Enjoy a live, guided tour of the night sky in the Acheson Planetarium, observe the stars in the Cranbrook Observatory, weather permitting, learn from an astronomer, explore hands-on activities, and you’ll even get to take home a space-themed snack! Attendees will also have the opportunity to examine the universe around us in our newest exhibit, SPACE: A Journey to Our Future, presented by PNC Bank with support from GM. From amazing discoveries and explorations of the past to today’s explorers who are shaping our future destiny in the galaxy, there is something everyone in the family will enjoy. You can see a REAL piece of the Moon, explore family-friendly interactives, tour a full-scale future Moon habitat, plan a trip to Mars, and more.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
