World Gorilla Day at the Detroit Zoo | What’s happening in Ann Arbor / Detroit

World Gorilla Day at the Detroit Zoo

*The event has already taken place on this date: Tue, 09/24/2019
Join us as we celebrate silverback gorillas Pende, Kongo and Chip and their wild counterparts at the Great Apes of Harambee. Through zookeeper talks and hands-on learning activities, you will develop a better understanding of these charismatic creatures and discover what the Detroit Zoological Society is doing to save them through our involvement with the Gorilla Rehabilitation and Conservation Education Center in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

*Times, dates, and prices of any activity posted to our calendars are subject to change. Please be sure to click through directly to the organization’s website to verify.
