Corn Maze at Spicer Orchards

The corn maze at Spicer Orchards is a different way for people to come out to the country and enjoy the outdoors. It’s a perfect event for families, parties, church groups, field trips, and friends, young and old alike. Open daily from 9 am to 6 pm in September and October. Cider In the City at Beacon Park

Saturday Sampler Tour: University of Michigan Excavations at the Kelsey

Approximately half of the Kelsey Museum's collections come from archaeological excavations around the Mediterranean and Middle East. Four Seasons: Artists Inspiring Artists at the Flint Institute of Arts

Artist and filmmaker Philip Haas created four 15-foot sculptures called the Four Seasons, inspired by Renaissance painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo’s botanical portrait paintings of the same name. After being wowed by The Four Seasons exhibition, Youth Members will learn about the accomplishments of Haas and Arcimboldo and use paint and collage to create a portrait that celebrates nature. Parents should enjoy the FIA galleries while their children work from 2 – 4 pm. Free to FIA Youth Members ages 5–12 or purchase a $20 membership at door.

Corn Maze at Maybury Farm

The Maybury Farm corn maze includes a tractor-drawn wagon ride to the corn maze with pick-up and drop-off every 15-20 minutes. When you've completed the maze, jump back on the wagon to ride back to the Farm and enjoy delicious Parmenter's cider and donuts. Northville Skeletons Are Alive Launch Party

Northville will once again welcome more than 120 life-sized themed Skeletons – created by Begonia Brothers of Northville – to town for the month of October. The skeletons arrival will be kicked off with the Skeletons are Alive Launch Party. The FREE celebration features music, food trucks and entertainment. Get into the Halloween spirit by dressing up in Halloween costumes! Guests may see a rock star, construction worker, weightlifter, a starlet and a fisherman among the skeletons. You may even see a skeleton on bended knee proposing to his sweetheart. The Skeletons are Alive Launch Party on October 4 also features a dance performance by Piazza Dance Studio and live music from The Blue Cat Band throughout the evening. Guests can enjoy kettle corn, cider and doughnuts, coffee from and appetizers. The evening will also feature food trucks along Main Street. There will also be lots of kid's fun including face painting, photo booths and more!

Nature Explorers: Bird Beak Buffet

For ages 5-6. Explore the different types of bird beaks and how they are used depending on what foods they consume, then hike with binoculars to look for bids and nests and listen for calls and songs.
