Holiday Magic with Santa

Santa Claus is coming to Meadow Brook Hall! Partake in a Holiday Magic show – the big guy is here to spread the holiday cheer. Make your holiday memories at Meadow Brook! This event includes a Holiday Magic Show by “Baffling Bill the Magician” with his famous sidekick “Gus” the rabbit, story time with Santa (and a chance to tell him your holiday wishes with the perfect photo opportunity!), Holiday Crafts, Holiday Treats, and a self-guided Holiday Walk tour through the rooms of the Great Estate trimmed in opulent holiday décor. Reservations are $20 per person ages 3 and up ($18 for Meadow Brook members). Children 2 and under are free. Marshall’s Merry Mile Lights Display at the Calhoun County Fairgrounds

Birmingham Tree Lighting & Winter Markt

Shain Park will come alive with activity during the City of Birmingham’s annual Birmingham Winter Markt event. Attendees will enjoy European food and drinks, gift items, holiday greens, crafts, ice sculptures, live reindeer, warming stations, a Kinderhaus children’s activity area, the popular Santa House, horse-drawn carriage rides and live entertainment. On opening night - Friday, December 6th at 6 p.m., the community will come together with Santa and Birmingham’s Mayor for live caroling and the lighting of a 35-foot holiday tree with more than 40,000 LED lights!

Santa Central at Hudson Mills

Santa Comes to Maybury Farm.

We wish you and yours all the best and to say Thank You for your support of the Farm, we offer FREE Santa Visits at the Farm along with a Holiday Open House for everyone of all ages to view the farm in all its winter beauty. Holiday Nights: Supper With Santa

Climb aboard for a horse-drawn carriage ride to A Taste of History® Restaurant for a casual buffet-style holiday turkey dinner that’s perfect for families with young children. Each family will have the opportunity to meet and take their own photo with Santa*. Children will also be able to make a special holiday keepsake craft. Then, to get you in the mood for the fun at Holiday Nights, enjoy a holiday sing-along and farewell to Santa as he’s whisked away in a special Model T. To end our supper, all will be invited to join our singers in a caroling procession to enter Holiday Nights in Greenfield Village. *On evenings after Christmas, Santa will be resting from his big night out. Holiday Carriage Ride in Downtown Detroit

See Downtown Detroit like you never have before - from inside an enchanted horse drawn carriage! Carriage rides take off from the Woodward Esplanade, directly south of Campus Martius Park. Rides are $10 per person or $40 for a private group and last about 15 to 20 minutes. Carriage rides can be purchased onsite. No advanced reservations are accepted. Chelsea Live Nativity

Come celebrate Christmas at Chelsea’s live nativity scene. Shepherds tend their flocks peacefully as Mary and Joseph watch the child in the manger. Wise men from the East come bearing gifts; live farm animals look on as an angel hovers over the traditional scene. Christmas music performed by a choir of residents and volunteers enfold the participants and observers alike. The colorful pageant is a tradition for Hometown Holidays and for hundreds of Chelsea families. There are two, 30 minute presentations, the first begins at 7 pm and repeats at 7:30 pm. The event takes place outside.
