Fall in Love with Your Detroit Zoo!

Enjoy fall décor, treats and more Weekdays at the Zoo. The fall is a spook-tacular time to experience your Detroit Zoo. Since it’s not possible to hold Smashing Pumpkins and Zoo Boo this year due to physical distancing concerns, we decided instead to celebrate the joys of the October season with decor, costumes, treats and more!

All treats and no tricks here: Weekday visits are even more special this October with goody bag giveaways for every child visitor Monday – Thursday.
Guests young and old are also encouraged to wear their costumes to the Zoo, snap a picture while visiting and post it directly to the Detroit Zoo’s Facebook page or on Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #DetroitZoo. We’ll be highlighting the most creative costumes on social media channels through October (animal costumes get bonus points!), so don’t miss the fun.
