Friday Nights in the Park

Both the west Dearborn Downtown Development Authority and the East Dearborn Downtown Development Authorities sponsor concert series, which have become summertime traditions.
All are family-friendly. So bring a lawn chair or blanket and be prepared to have a good time.
The following is the schedule for Friday Nights in the Park, presented at Bryant Library Muirhead Plaza, 22100 Michigan Ave. These concerts begin at 5 p.m. and run till 9 p.m.:
June 12: Teen Angels
June 26: The Sound Alternative Band
July 10: Metro Jazz voices (Carl Cafagna)
July 24: Big Will & the 360 Degree Band
Aug. 14: Billy Mack & the Juke Joint Johnnies
Aug. 28: The Beat Club (Beatles Tribute)
Food truck rallies will take place in the parking lot across the alley from the Friday Nights in the Park concerts on June 26, July 24 and August 28.
Rain alternative location for Friday Nights in the Park is the Henry Ford Centennial Library, 16301 Michigan Ave.
The East Downtown Dearborn will begin its signature concerts series on Wednesday, July 8 with the first 2015 Jazz on the Ave event, sponsored by Oakwood Healthcare System and the Dearborn Community Fund.
These concerts are at City Hall Park, 13615 Michigan Ave. at the corner of Schaefer. (Note the location remains the same as usual, despite city services moving out of the building.)
The following is the 2015 schedule. Concerts are 7 to 9 pm.
July 8: Alexander Zonjic and Friends
July 15: Marc Antoine with special guest Brian Simpson
July 22: Jessy J
July 29: 496 West and Dee Brown
Aug. 5: Charles and Gwen Scales
Aug. 12: Alexander Zonjic with the Motor City Horns and special guest Elan Trotman
The EDDDA will be showcasing neighborhood restaurants which will be selling their food at booths in the Park at each concert. The events will also feature a face painter and balloon twister for the kids.
