Born in 1987, the Russian-German pianist Igor Levit received effusive praise for his two-disc debut album of Beethoven’s late piano sonatas. A relative newcomer to the United States, he makes his UMS debut with this recital appearance. “A force-field of concentrated musical energy…” (The Guardian, London)
