Intro to Drawing (Media Exploration)

Join us for three 2-hour sessions to explore drawing in 3 basic mediums: graphite pencil, colored pencil, and pen and ink. Learn the basics about shapes, values, proportions, perspective, and shading. Drawing has improved focus, reduced stress, and enhanced creativity.
When we draw, we become immersed in our present world and the flow state helps to free us from the cage of our minds.
Art gives us the gift of becoming students of the outside world again. It shoves us into the present and teaches us to notice the extraordinary beauty in ordinary things all around us. And through the flow state, we can go deep down the path of finding our inner voice, which then brings us to our style and voice as artists.
All levels are welcome. This workshop is designed for adults and youth aged 14 years old and older.
Guest artist and instructor Julie Woodard will provide you with everything to get started. She has taught art for decades and helped hundreds of students unlock their artistic potential. Join her workshop to learn from a seasoned expert!
