We have returned to racing! The mission of Epic Races is to professionally manage safe, fun, and rewarding multi-sport and endurance events that appeal to beginner through elite athletes, raise money and awareness for important causes, and make each participant feel like a champion. Run or walk our classic Firecracker 5K (3.1 miles) on our flat and fast course that will be full of surprises along the way… including the Kapnick Fun Zone with .75 miles to go!

Kapnick Insurance Group is celebrating 75 years in business in 2021, so new this year we have The Kapnick 7.5K! Kapnick aims to raise funds for a local charity through this celebratory run, a gesture of thanks to the community for trusting Kapnick to be their insurance adviser for the past 75 years. With Michigan roots and a global reach, Kapnick provides expert guidance pertaining to business insurance, risk solutions, employee benefits, corporate wellness, and personal insurance to a vast and diverse base of clients worldwide.
Looking for a shorter distance? Try our Mile Fun Run! A relaxed, non-competitive course awaits runners and walkers of all ages who want to show their Firecracker fervor but with a little less mileage. No timing… just a fun, friendly frolic on the Fourth of July!
Our littlest firecrackers are invited to make a bang all their own in our Kids’ 200-Meter Dash. ALL KIDS WILL RACE FREE WITH A PAID ADULT! Open to competitors ages 8 and under, our Kids’ Dash offers children the opportunity to soar like eagles to the finish line, completing their race at the same finish line as Mom or Dad!

All events are walker-friendly!
