Maple Syrup Tours

Please note: Maple syrup season is always weather dependent, warm sunny days above 40 degrees following nights below freezing. This means that while the first weekend of Making Maple Syrup Tours is scheduled for February 27th, they could begin a week or two sooner, or a week or two later, depending on the weather. Keep an eye out here or on our Facebook page for the latest!
TOUR TIMES:
Saturday- 1pm, 2pm, 3pm
Sunday- 1pm, 2pm, 3pm
Space is limited for each Tour. We recommend arriving early to ensure your spot on the wagon.
PRIVATE TOURS:
Available for schools, scouting troops, and groups of 15 or more. Great for kids and adults alike! Call (248) 374-0200 to book.
TOUR DETAILS:
Your tour begins with a wagon ride out to the Sugar Bush. Once you arrive, you will head into the woods where you will learn about the maple tree, how to tap it, and then collect the sap. You may even get a chance to taste the sap straight from the tree. The wagon will then take you back to the Sugar Shack where you will watch and learn how to turn the sap into delicious maple syrup using an evaporator and also how to do it yourself at home.
Once your tour is finished, you are invited to warm up in the Maybury Farm Welcome Center where hot drinks and snacks are available to enjoy next to the toasty wood stove. Pure Michigan Maple Syrup is available for purchase and we offer free recipes for you to try with your maple syrup at home.
COST:
$6 per person, kids 2 and under free (must ride on laps in wagon)
Wagon ride to and from the Sugar Bush is included with your Tour ticket.
