What’s Up, King Tut? The Myths, Treasures and Archaeology of King Tut-Ankh-Amun
Ages 6 - 13 and families
Thursday, 4/28, 5:00 - 5:45 PM – Live on Zoom
Step into a time when papyrus grew along the Nile River and pyramids dotted the horizon in Ancient Egypt with this illustrated and engaging presentation. Our program focuses on the boy king, Pharaoh Tut-Ankh-Amun. Why is he so famous and do the curses really exist? We take a virtual tour of his tomb, and learn how it was discovered 100 years ago! A do-at-home papyrus/hieroglyphic activity will be available as an add-on to families who can pick them up from the Pawling Library in Pawling, NY.
Did you know the Pawling Library is even older than the discovery of King Tut's tomb? As we celebrate our 100th anniversary of serving the community, we would like to thank our partners for this event, Museums with Marisa, the Pawling Library Centennial Committee, and the Donaldson Trust.
