Winter Dip in the Pond at Indian Springs

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 01/19/2019
The weather may seem frightful, but if you were a stonefly it would be delightful! Many terrestrial insects start their lives under water only to sprout wings and live the rest of their adult lives on drier land. Winter marks the last days as a larva for some of these insects and is the time when they are easiest to see. Join us as we grab nets to plunge through the ice to get a small glimpse of the winter wonderland these insects call home. Dress for the weather– you will not be going in the water! Ages 8 and up. Please preregister, (248) 625-7280.
